Coeurage Theatre Company's production of Twelfth Night, adapted and directed by Kate Jopson, opened this Friday and guys I think it's good. Obviously, I'm biased, but at the very least, this is a production that is determined to explore the deep human desire to belong and committed to working with an incredibly talented cast of diverse actors and artists to tell a story in a way I've never, ever seen it told before.
I'm honored to be playing Olivia alongside some of the best theatre actors I've met in LA. The show runs through mid-August, though I will only be performing the July dates (yay work?!). I urge anyone and everyone to come see it, but mentally prep yourself for a distinctly nontraditional (thank god), kinda dark, retelling of this infamous gender-bending love triangle.
Last but not least, may we never forget the controlled horror that was me drunk and in drag for Back Room Shakespeare Project LA:
